Entry #1 Music to My Ears
Everybody has a hobby they like. Whether that be rock climbing, working out, reading, or watching TV. It does not have to be very complex; hobbies can be simple. As someone who likes to keep it simple, I am going to talk about one of my favorite things to do in my free time.
There are many things I like to do when I’m not doing much, but one thing I love to do is listen to music. I love that music has such a large variety of songs and genres to choose from. It gives me the opportunity to expand my taste and enjoy more songs that I have never heard before. For the longest time, I felt like I just couldn’t broaden what music I would listen to because I couldn’t get myself to really listen to the music. Now, I listen to artists like Childish Gambino, SZA, and PinkPantheress. A song I am beginning to enjoy is I Wish You Roses by Kali Uchis. I’ve heard her other songs like Dead to Me, Flight 22, and Melting, but I wanted to give this song a listen because she is coming out with a new album very soon.
Overall, listening to music is something I love to do whenever I get the chance. It’s nice vibing to a song while I have my airpods in. I feel like our world would be totally different if we never had music, which is why I like this quote by Friedrich Nietzsche, “Without music, life would be a mistake.”
